Hi, I have been googling the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts in order to determine if I should attend the Fall 2011 term (or another term if it is full) and came across your posts. It seems you have attended at least two terms there and might be a good person to question about the experience? (I would rather question someone I found than someone they might provide me with, for a candid no frills view.) If you don't mind sharing please email me at camouflagedmailbox@gmail.com. By the way your photographic work is stunning. Thank you. Jessica

I'm sorry that situations around you have been such that you've found yourself feeling melancholic. I hope that, when the air clears a little, all will be well again.

Thank-you for sharing the story of your father's friendship. How wonderful that, despite differences such as age, we can befriend and learn from one another.

Friendships do require effort. Relationships are not always easy. I have actually made real friends through the social media you've mentioned. I've spoken with them on the phone, exchanged cards and letters, have met in person, and even vacationed with one. That being said, those friendships aren't common, and also require a lot of work. Blurbs and tags do not a friendship make.

I don't always get back what I put in, but I'd rather put in for as long as I can (and as is healthy) than not try.

You're in my thoughts.

What a wonderful opportunity! I'm happy that you've not only received this offer, but are now able to take advantage of it. You always seem so happy there.

You always seem so happy when you write of Greece, and you've mentioned how at home you feel there. Have you given any thought to moving there?

I like your goal to be kinder this year. It's something we should all work on. I hope that your trip to Greece is as fulfilling for you this year as it was last.

As for the collector, his art may not be to your taste, but it obviously makes him happy. He's proud of it and wanted to show it off; the museums made him feel validated. Boasting can be annoying to the listener, but I think a lot of us do it. Art is so subjective, and the things that you like may leave him feeling equally cold. Look at it this way: at least you don't have to live with it. :0)
